EVIDENCE OF WISDOM
every morning
begins the journey back
to trusting myself

cutting through the heavy thoughts
the buried shoulds
with blunt tools 
is the meditation
i begrudgingly but desperately practice
every morning

every morning
i reach for a hope and trust
that I will meet moments in this day
when i’m not seeking external evidence 
to validate my worth

every morning
i ask to be guided
not by unconscious old whispers of fear
but by a wisdom, a flow
of allowing
of trusting
of effortless knowing

i can access this river of my truest self
to the degree that i create space to find it
it won’t reveal itself to me
if i don't pause long enough
to notice it

t h e r e i s u n l i m i t e d p o w e r i n t h e p a u s e

let’s remind each other
to take this space
so that we might begin to trust
the evidence of our wisdom
